bmurator I absolutely love how FM straddles Punk / Black Metal & Dungeon Synth. Nick Stewart, the man behind this solo project, transitions from all the styles seamlessly. Here he treats us with a series of covers of well known songs each providing a different take at least as good as the original! My favourite song is one takes me on such a nostalgic trip I simply cannot resist! Actually "Goodbye Horses" is totally awesome too! Highly recommended!!! Favorite track: Enjoy the Silence (Depeche Mode cover).

Mr Black & White Fire Messiah just dropped a cover album with 10 songs of absolute FIRE!! Hear favorites like Depeche Mode's Enjoy the Silence and Q Lazzarus's Goodbye Horses. In my humble opinion it's some of the finest work from Fire Messiah to date. We got punk, goth, glam and a whole lot of nostalgia. Fire Messiah never disappoints and Scraping The Veins of Youth is no exception! Favorite track: Goodbye Horses (Q Lazzarus cover).

about

Although much of my Fire Messiah material is rooted in metal, these are all songs that helped shape my musical journey (both as a listener and as an artist). My renditions were not meticulously crafted or reshaped to fit into some grand artistic vision; I simply sat down and recorded a few of my favorite songs that I thought would translate well to this project's style.

If you're familiar with the originals, I hope you enjoy my covers. If you like my covers but haven't heard the originals, I hope you check them out and discover some new favorites.
